  • What rear hub to replace Hope II with?

    ‘Cos I can’t stand the bloody clicking any more! I used to love the rumble of knobbly tyres over hard ground, but now I even hear the clicking in my sleep!
    So, what’s good? I’m after 9mm QR and something of equal quality, preferably with cartridge bearings as I can’t be bothered phaffing with cone spanners.
    Ideas please.

    DT240S if you can either find one cheap or can stomach the cost. Rather expensive at RRP but once you’ve had one you won’t go back to Hope for sure.

    My 36 pawl 240 sounds louder than a Pro 2, although at least I can open it up and put some grease in to quieten it down when it gets on my nerves.
