I currently have rigid 29er forks. But intend on something a bit bigger what do you use?

Recon air's 120mm travel. Feels good to me.

How do you find the 29er rigid forks/which ones are you running?

old 130mm bombers (z1mc or something like that) – silver, corroded, heavy, ugly but work well!

140mm Revs – Found it difficult to stop the front end wandering on climbs to start with, but soon got used to it.
Quite fancy getting some 150mm maxle u turns, 150mm for the descents, then 130/140mm the rest of the time.

I have steel Haro Mary forks off ebay for £25!

I like the look of the Rev U turns but there not cheap!

Pike coil 95-140mm u-turns on a Ti 456. The forks weigh more than the frame, but it rides great. 🙂

fox van 32's 140mm, work brilliantly.

'09 Recon Coil U-Turn 85-130mm, no issues so far, run them at 130mm 99% of the time, the occasional twiddle down if it's a long climb.

Fox 36 van r for me, fitted to my 456 ss over the weekend, first ride on that set up tonight. Trying to get an xc bike that feels more like my dh race bike.

Coil Pikes all day. Like Peaches and Cream.

Currently some cheapo maz mx comp 100mms, soon to be rigid 460mm kona project 2's, but did have some TALAS 140-100. The talas worked great, 100mm is only for climbing IMO (and with the current 100mm maz it's not great to ride anywhere except uphill) but they are on the Hemlock now and the 456 is singlespeed.

I've had 145mm Nixons, U-turn air pikes and now a 120mm reba.

Of those, I prefer my456 with the 120mm rebas.

Z1 FR1 150mm travel, makes the bike nice and slack. ETA for the really steep climbs.

Air Pike 454 wound down to 125mm. Never felt the need to change it from there going up or down. I found the biggest difference in performance came from moving the saddle forward!

Fox 32 Talas RLC QR15 although I'd really like to try some 32 Vans! Maybe when the new Ti456 is out! Used to run Minute 3's with IT switch, they were nice and light, IT switch was very hand for sharp climbs, but the general performance was very disappointing. Fox's are unimaginably better!

I had some old 120mm Bombers – suited the 456 just right for me.

Pike Air U-turns 110-140mm on both my old steel 456 & Ti 456

Ran the old steel one on Rev's at first and the Ti one on some 140mm Talas 32's but with Pike's & ProII hubs on both its easier swapping wheels about

coil pike.

Suntour Epicon 140mm on my 456 SS, great for descending, less than optimal for climbing but it's easily managable.

Porbably gonna go for 140mm Pike's (maybe U-Turn) once I've killed the Epicon.

It's a big frame though, so probably more suited to big forks.

Reba teams 120mm . Recently changed the travel from 100 to 120 and the bike handles so much better.

Talas 32 – 90% of the time at 120 and find it works great at this

Tried 120 Reba maxles, 140 Thors and Talas 36's – works best for me with the Thors.

Float 130mm it feels perfect

130 Revs when I had mine, if I had one again I'd go for a bolt through fork, probably Pikes.

120 Marzocchi Mx Pro ETA. Cheap fork works well.
