Quantocks. Great days riding. Got lucky with the weather. Missus trying to get something out of her pack and being hassled for food by a pony

Unsurprisingly busy on the Malverns today. But I didn’t care, the sun was shining and I was having a skive ride. First time on the Chubby for a month or so. What a fab bike that is. Sometimes I forget it’s a hardtail.

Working all weekend 🙁 luckily my suite doesn’t have a window so I can’t see how nice it is outside. Hopefully get out after work tomorrow for an hour at Woburn though.

Fell off. Into someone’s garden. Fell a long way. laughed about it. Could have been a lot, lot worse. Another couple of feet further down and a not so handily placed stone wall would have broken my back…..

    Long way down…

Still, dusted myself off. Rode some of the Mytholm descent. And Mmbop. And Rodwell Zig Zags. Got to love Calderfornia…

A paltry hour in the rain yesterday re-asserting my unsuitablility for gravity stage racing. Never found this hut before either. Quality.

Still did get a chat with a old danish dude brewing up out of the back of his camper, his opening gambit was’Like little boys rolling around in the mud, yes?’, indicating my bike with a nod, grinning. To which I replied ‘Yes!’.

A little late, Easter riding jollies in Chiang Mai, Thailand, lots of long dusty descents, mucho fun with the X-Biking crew.

It was a busy weekend but the guides gave our small group a pickup truck to ourselves so we could go our own pace.

As typical with this group, there were no action pics so only we know our full awesomeness.

Yes, Chang was available at the end.

I’ll get some pics up later, had an ace weekend, 8 of us heading south for a really wet but awesome 3 days in the Lakes.

Quick night ride of the best bit of the Bash on fri night.

honister pass – Wharnscale – Rigg beck – walla crag – watendlath – back to YH on the Saturday

The awesome Sprinkling tarn down to Stockley bridge on sunday.

Feeling it this morning mind!. Just confirmed to me that the Borrowdale YH is not only ace, but has enough amazing riding nearby to fill any number of days without having to drive.

Someone updated God on the weather front, thanks 😉

So this weekend will be a dry hack on Rapha’s Hell of the North, followed by Beer & Frites and Mr Fabulous winning Paris-Roubaix..

    Such hilarity.

Beautiful evening, could have been the perfect ride – if only I’d taken a tube with me.

Had a cracking day in the Peak, started in the thick fog and 0deg in the valley but soon climbed above it and onto the snowy tops and sunshine:

Looking at those pictures of the Peak above I’m really looking forward to a week Friday when we had back up there for a week of Riding 😀

This weekend we rode at Woodbury Common – a slightly disjoined ride as someone had just got a new camera and wanted to take pictures for once. Some of the pictures were better but alas it would appear I pull all manner of silly faces when riding 😳

We started with some of this

And then spent an hour sheltering in part of the forest due to a sudden hail storm.

Super soggy, so just went out to try and find some new routes. Found a couple of nice sections, now just need to find a way of linking them up.
