I was down at Cramond flying my kite for 3 hours this morning and didnt see a single aeroplane.

I was really nice and peaceful without aircraft noise.

Maybe using the older runway due to prevailing winds?

Maybe landing from the west because of the wind direction? Normally it is nose to tail EasyJet over Cramond. That would put me off living in Cramond – I couldn’t be bothered replacing the missing roof tiles every week.

EDIT:- quick fingers Colin strikes again.

Winds were North Westerly and 12 knots so nowt to stop them using the main runway. The only change they normally have due to wind conditions is approaching from the west or the east. Never heard of them using the other runway.

Well the RAF are having a great time in the Tweed Valley today. How low can you go, and all that.

Yes. Wish it was closed more often as it truly was peaceful with no planes. There wasnt even anything flying over either. Strange.
