Just snapped 2009 cube race ltd frame. Its just in the five year warranty period. Its a 22″ frame for a 26″ wheel. what should I expect as a replacement as they don’t do this frame anymore? Advice please.

Something comparable is the simple answer. If you can work out where in the range your frame sat at the time it was current, you should be aiming for something similar in the current range. Though that’s to a large extent dependent on how the distributor views it.

I’ve just received a Cube Warranty replacement frame for a 2011 ltd Comp. They still have 20″ LTD frames for 26″ wheels in a warehouse so would expect they probably still have some 22″ frames too. They’re made of 6061 now rather than 7005 – not sure what difference that will make to what you get and mine had a slightly longer head tube so had to lose a spacer

Don’t expect it to be quick – mine took 6 weeks – they allegedly had some breakdown of communication between the warranty department and the warehouse/distributor with the warranty department claiming they’d told the warehouse/distributor to send out the frame and the distributor claiming never to have received this authorisation – this went on for a month!!

It was also black when I’d been told it was going to be red and white and they won’t pay for the components to be transferred to the new frame so you either have to do it yourself / find a friend or pay a shop to do this.

I wasn’t that impressed with Cubes warranty service so won’t be buying from them again.

Out of interest where did your frame break. On mine all the welds came apart where the seat tube, seat stays and top tube meet.

That’s pretty standard to be fair.

I don’t know any extended warranty that would include labour.
