Been reading there is a different clamp available especially to accomodate bikes with slack seat angles (like my Maverick) to keep the saddle at a reasonable angle still, supposedly called the 12 degree clamp assembly.

Anyone know anything of it? A quick google search and I can find very little about it, other than a few US websites sell it.

Who officially imports Thomson in the UK these days?

Alternatively, the current crop of Easton Seatposts (EA70, EA50, Vice etc.), how well does the layback twin bolt design cope with mega slack seat angles?

Cheers Tim, you are a legend.

Was gonna phone you soon anyway see if you knew anything happening with Paul Turner now he’s bought Maverick back if you were still in contact, I’ve been following Ethan’s posts on MTBR but still a little in the lurch.

I know nothing, really. My guess is that PT will try to license the designs to someone else, as was always the plan originally.

Had a look in my old Thomson bits pot and sadly there’s none left. I might still turn one up in an odd place, will post here if so.
