    There is one of these in the Museum of New Zealand, I just stared at it for ages as it is a work of art. The story of John Britten is an amazing one.

    Have seen them racing and WOW.
    Also seen the one in Wellington museum and WOW.
    Wasn’t there a bit of a story about his death, or have I made that up?

    Lovely piece of engineering, but hardly a shedbuild- Britten was certainly no Bert Munro, as I’m sure he’d admit.

    Legend has been built up around Britten, but there were a fair number of individuals and companies, as well as Britten’s own employees in the end, involved in the manufacture development and design of the bikes over the years.
