    Settlements for under-performing staff to disappear? So you get a fat pay-off, and a glowing reference, to take your lazy, useless arse eleswhere?

    Won’t that just make the bring the private sector more into line with the established practice in the public sector, where unemployable idlers just get moved shuftied into another department, just to get rid of them? Probably trousering a promotion and a pay rise en route?

    Standard practise in some company’s already, and people take advantage because just “leaving” doesn’t pay them any extra – aka there’s more incentive to being fired – and in my US corporate world they can’t give you a poor reference either in case you sue them for deformation of character.

    Btw, haven’t you noticed my growing number of posts on STW lately? *falls asleep at desk in hope of big payout to fund something more interesting*
