I am organising a last-rites do for a mate getting married next week. He is a big fan of terrible B movies with his all time favourite being Zombeavers.

I’m after recommendations for anything else that might be worth a look. Must be off the scale absurd. Dead Snow is probably too sane.

Possibly a little darker than what you’re looking for, but a classic…

    Bad Taste is good too.

Bad Taste was the very first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title. Braindead (Dead Alive) is also brilliant as said.

Sharktopus. It’s terrible and everyone in it knew it, the director knew it and somehow they pulled it off that you could laugh along with them.

Oh, Killer Klowns From Outer Space as well!

    Street trash (is amazing).

    The deadly spawn.

    Undead (Australian zombie film).

They Live (best fist fight ever).

    Class of Nuke’em high.

    Night of the comet.

    Sharktopus reminds me ….

    Sharknado.

This was, however, such an awful film that it should be introduced as some kind of inhumane punishment for those who don’t indicate.

Bubba Ho Tep, not quite a b movie but excellent.

Also, the whole Bronx warriors trilogy is amazingly bad.

What about some of the old, classic monster movies? Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan etc etc.

I own Bad Taste, Braindead and Man Bites Dog (box set edition). They’re all on VHS. Might have to break out the old video and 4*3 telly soon I think…

Possibly the best shite film you will ever see. But make sure you are p**sed up first 🙂

Man Bites Dog, whilst a good film, it is certainly not one to watch with a bunch of mates on a stag do, or any other pre-marital event. If you want to kill the mood in one fell swoop, then go ahead.

He’s watched Bad Taste and Sharknado. But Surf Nazi’s Must Die sounds perfect

    Quite.

I remember someone put it on claiming it was “hilarious”. It was his birthday so we did. Mood killer doesn’t even come close. I’m sure there is a message in there somewhere but I suspect he found it funny for all the wrong reasons.

Oh, whilst not strictly B-Grade any John Carpenter movie, especially one with Kurt Russel, is a winner.

Do the Grindhouse trilogy count as B movies? I don’t think they really do…

Another vote for Class of Nuke’em High and Hobo with a Shotgun, also Turbo Kid, Razorback, The Guyver (with Mark Hamill), Buck Rogers (not technically a b movie but still pretty shocking).

I just remembered this one. It’s actually well worth a watch…

The best thing about the Troma films like Nuke’em High and Toxic Avenger is that you can watch them with the sound off (or just get drunk and rowdy) and still get the same effect as there’s almost always something horrific or titillating on screen and no real story to follow.
