I go to Tenerife and i hire a bike when i'm there though only a basic one, i get the bus up mount teide and ride back down to the resort.There's some great trails there, grab a walking map from somewhere and away you go .
been to the canaries loads of times. Really good shop in playa de ingles on Gran canaria. nice cannondales for hire, and good prices too.
