Becareful with the beer. The last time I was there, in various bars, I asked what beer they had, the reply was always strong, medium or weak. After a mix of strong and medium I was quite tipsy at the end of the night
I think you might find pubs everywhere sell beer in those strengths. Bath Ales do a really good range of quality beers. The Pump Rooms are good for lunch and afternoon tea, the Hobgoblin is a good pub, but not exactly upmarket, my favourite pub’s St James’ Wine Vault un Julian Road, but it’s probably a bit far out of the centre. Lots of really good places to eat in Bath.
