I have seen that Joes rim strips are sold as compatible with 26 and 29er rims. Stans however have specific 29 er strips. Probably a daft question, but can i use my spare Stans 26 er strips on my new 29er wheels, or will it not work ? Are the joes and Stans strips different ? Making them not compatible across different wheel sizes

I used Stans 26er strips on 29er rims when Stans 29er strips were hard to get.

They do get narrower as you stretch them though so it depends what strips you have and what rims you intend fitting them on.

If you have both already just bang them on and see if they’re still wide enough to cover the rim.

I have the standard 26 rim strips, will see if they fit my 29 DT rims

29ers are gai so no they won’t fit.
