I’m going crazy being indoors revising so more daydreaming, this time sscx frames. I have a cross check, had a ss tricross before that. I know about singular kite, peregrine, felt breed, genesis day one, all nature, traitor, cotic and salsa chili at one end of the market and speedvagen at al at the other end but is there much in between? Kona Major one perhaps or the raleigh hodala? Although has actually anyone seen a hodala? Don’t appear on the UK raleigh site.

Burls for a cyber internets build in Ti, Shand for a steel Scottish beauty or Simple for steel built on my doorstep (other custom builders are available).

    PS: 38 x 18.

Get yourself to BeSpoked Bristol in April to broaden your choice.

I think Raleigh USA is a separate entity to Raleigh UK and do different (better?) bikes.

Yeah shand are pricy, did contact him for a quote and tbh for that money I’d rather save up for a speedvagen or firefly. I’d forgotten about burls though.

I ran 42:16 when wasn’t racing but changed last year to 39:18 which seems better for races and not terrible for hacking in the woods.

Yep – new Singular CX disc only frame for next season I hope. Larger diameter but very thin walled tubing, oversize head tube, tapered carbon fork. Should have some protos here in a couple of months. If I can manage it the current Kite will continue more or less as is, the new one will be the V2.
