Every so often break a few spokes, so where to buy new ones,
Shop 1, yes we sell spokes, no we dont do mountain bike spokes,in black, will silver fit, asks me, yes, so ill have 6 silver ones though,but theyre silver says the shop, so what says me, theyre spokes,but theyll look odd says shop.
Eventually got them off him.
Second shop, same request, so being clever i said it doesnt matter if theyre black or silver, comes back with a silver one, £3,00 says he for one spoke, sadly i forgot to take any money with me so i couldnt buy it.
Third shop, we dont sell spokes but can build you a wheel, no i just want some replacement spokes, sorry it mucks our stock control computer if we sell spokes seperately,said the shop.
Fourth shop, same question, bought some spokes then realised they had no nipples, so asked for nipples,and got charged extra for the nipples, got home and guess what the nipple thread is a different thread to the spoke so they dont fit.
