Today I'm torn between:

[img] [/img]

for her horrific Cornish fairytale thing on ITV, and:

[img] [/img]

For basically being a total tool - on Eggheads, on Newsnight and on Radio 2.

Can you out smug the above?

Today I'm torn between:
Caroline [s]Jones [/s]Quentin

for her horrific Cornish fairytale thing on ITV

This program boils my p155. She floats around in her green coat (if it's that nice there why don't take your coat off then?) stating just how effin wonderful the place is while trying desperately not to say 'by the way, did I mention I've got a house here?'
How the hell did ITV get talking into doing a 30 min advert for the place every week?
Grrrrr.

Grrrrr.

Totally.

I lived in Cornwall for almost 10 years and it's not much like twee Quentin-land, which seems to be a melange of rugged seafaring types, wholesome rural happiness, village festivals and lashings of cider and cream tea.

Has that woman never been to St. Austell or Camborne?

Gnash Gnash. 👿

EDIT: The spotty green jacket is to make her fit in amongst the Cornish coastal trails so it's harder for me to track her down...

Eggheads - my take:

Daphne pretends to guess when she knows the answer really. And she's always going on about her bloody grand kids.Is she a bit deaf? "nmagdagascar Jermey."

Chris I quite like. He likes trains and seems to not really give a 5hit when he loses.

CJ is a camp, condescending, odious little prick.

Kevin I quite like. He has incredible knowledge and a very dry SoH.

Barry is a swivel-eyed animal botherer.

Pat is knowledgeable but boring.

Judith is SO POSH it hurts.

And I actually like Jeremy Vine. What are his crimes?

Really dislike Clare Balding too. An awful sports presenter and seems to have a right nasty streak to her as well.

Silverdales' eyes are just that tiny, but critical, bit too close together. A matter of microns perhaps but it makes him loook like an alien freak show.

Mensch... urgh... career Tory.

Anybody who wants to be an MP from the age of 14 shouldn't be allowed to be one.

At the age of fourteen she had joined the Conservative Party, after being inspired by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, but in 1996 she briefly switched to Tony Blair's Labour Party saying she believed him to be "socially liberal but an economic Tory". By 1997 she had returned to the Conservatives and helped her mother, Daphne, win a seat in East Sussex County Council from the Liberal Democrats.

In defence of John Inverdale...met him in person 3 years ago when he was hosting a corporate conference for us. Charming, down to earth and not a prima donna. Told some very funny tales as part of his routine and then was happy to tell the unPC ones in the bar afterwards. Top guy. Most celebs are complete w@nk3rs off screen and expect 5star service, John was happy to get his own tea

Let it not be forgotten that as 'Louise Bagshawe', Louise Mensch is also responsible for some truly woeful chick lit. I know, I've read it....

Didn't she used to work in the music industry? I think that is where she met her husband who, iirc, is the manager of Metallica.
