I’ve a set of XT 8100 brakes on a bike and I’m swapping the calipers out for four pots.  I’ve a set of SLX 7100 on another bike.

Is there any value in swapping the SLX calipers for the XTs or is there bugger all difference other than the paint job at that end of the hose so would just be an unproductive faff?

If they’re both two-pot calipers, I wouldn’t bother, they are functionally the same.

Same calipers – just cosmetically different.

I’ve just swapped 2 pot xt for 4 pot slx.
The new slx far outperform the xt , mainly because they are not leaking fluid over the discs.

Four pot SLX callipers are pretty bloody great, particularly for the money. Got them on two bikes.
