I’m amazed by how much I’ve learnt in 2 days… Having been riding for 13 years and (in my own mind at least) can put in a decent show against most riders, I can now do all those tricky things all the cool kids seemed to be able to do but I never got round to learning and always thought would be beyond me: wheelies, manuals, tabletops, proper fast cornering, drop offs etc.

The most amazing thing was standing by the tabletop in Whinlatter and a drop off in GT and realising that probably only about 2% of riders were riding these things properly. Which means I certainly wasn’t and most of us probably aren’t. really it’s amazing how much more comfortable and less scary these things feel once you get someone watching you, pointing out what you’re doing wrong and showing you the decent technique.

if you’ve never booked skills training I can highly recommend it… you’ll be amazed how much you learn…
