Good grief. That’s a bit of a gate. Too much blue for me, too but each to their own.

Mine is pretty rough around the edges but I’ll tidy it up when I can afford. It’s a large, so the seat stays look ok.

Craigxxl, that is a thing of beauty.
    How tall are you?

    craigxxl

6 feet tall, 31″ inner leg, fit is perfect for me. I was undecided as to a medium or large obviously went for large in the end.
Batman, how does it ride with a layback on, I’m assuming the chainstays are at their maximum.

Hi all, for me i find the layback fine but then i do ride of the back a bit on most bikes. My only complaint with them is the weight with the triple it came in around 32lb which was fine but add the hammer and van forks and that went up a fair bit, great ride though very stable at speed. Moved it on and got a Bfe a while back and loving that closest frame ive found to my former dekerf TI Implant which was just a dream on the downhills total ripper. Gotta love the whole reasurgense of steel hardtails this past few years so many great frames to choice from.
    Fun fun fun.

Hi ton im 6.3 with a 33inch inside leg ran a 70/80mm stem and could have gone either way regards seatposts and it fit great. Having said all that a lrg bfe fits just as well and there is a killer deal on them this month to £300 total steel excuse the pun 😆

Ton – XL sounds about right for someone 6’3″.
I know nothing about what you like to ride, but you should definitely get one. They are an absolutely insane, incredible riot. More fun than you ever thought possible on 2 wheels. I use mine for anything and everything but it is best at fast, steep, tech stuff – very at home at Innerleithen enduro last weekend.

I have a tendency to get a bit carried away gushing about how good Sovereigns are, but then I ride mine again and it all makes sense again.

Get one. Do. 140 forks though…

Ohh, anyone got an xl one round Edinburgh I could throw a leg over?
    I’m 6’5.
Was about to order an Orange p7 but this throws another hat in the ring.

Im 6’5″ hence why Im looking for an XL, looking for something with a short back end that’ll manual and pop off stuff rather than stick to the ground and plough like my Bluepig.

I also like the clearance with the dropped and braced TT that you dont get with a BFE or ‘Pig

    Craigxxl that looks really nice
    Nice colour coordination
Where did you manage to get a charge spoon with blue lettering?

    Cheers everyone.

The Spoon is from Evans. It’s an exculsive to Evans and £5 cheaper if you order it online and either have it posted or collect from a shop.

Had a search around and found a Charge Spoon with green lettering which would match my black and green themed patriot. Turns out Charge only sell them as part of a complete bike 🙁

Currently I plan to build one up with a hammerschizzle, CK/flow wheelset, 36 Floats (160 or dropped to 140, “Some say much fun can be had with 16o on a SOV”), thomson post/stem, easton 70’s, Hope m4/Mini, baron 2.3s, saint mech, xt cassette and if I plug all of the part weights into my magic spreadsheet it comes up with 29.8lbs, which I thought was ok for such a beast (would be medium mind)

Two speed sounds fun and drops 1 1/4lbs.

I was looking at Bfe but I love the look of a Sov and it takes a hammerschizzle.

Chainline, that build sounds lovely. If I had the money, I’d go for CK/Flow wheels, TALAS 36s and seXTR all over mine. Oh, I’d get it powder coated green, too.

    omnomnom.

Gotta be the white, mmmmmm I never use travel adjust so.

I have the hammerschizzle on my Nicolai AM and LOVE it so when a bargainous one came up on here for the price of a decent crank and chain device (I’d only want to run 1x 9/10 anyway)

The Nicolai has the 36 floats so gonna put a coil fork on that to match the rear and swop em over, then see before I reduce the travel.

Nic also has CK/Flows but picked up some s/h CK/EX829s off here too, they’re going on the Nic, flows on a SOV I think..

Worked out quite well with nice s/h bits really, I’ve just been keeping my eye out for some bargains….
