A frame of mine is off for a spruce up soon and after amassing a number of red anodized parts to accompany the build I’m now undecided on what colour to go with for the frame 😕

My sensible head says black, but pastel blue is also a runner.

    Any thoughts?

    Any pics for inspiration 🙂

    Cheers,

    AMk

Pastel blue and red is sure to look rubbish! Black is a solid choice although a little boring. How about gritstone like the Cotic BFe? I’m planning on getting some red parts when I get mine 😛

    Black
    White

obvious choices but good contrast to set the red off.

A few red accents on my bike – mainly on the frame at the moment, but the wheels have red spoke nipples, the headset has some red bits on it and the fork does too…..

Not sure whether to get anymore red bits or not. The red on the frame is a dark red, rather than the bright postbox red that most anodised bits are…..

A few too many spacers in that last shot. The shop that rebuilt my bits onto the frame didn’t put them back right…

Is the Hope silver stuff ie silver seat post clamp, new tech 4 calipers etc. are they actually anodized silver or are they bare ally and therefore could be anodized to what ever colour you fancy ?

Looking at doing similar thing to that of ‘letmetalktomark’ but in reverse, I’ve got the frame colour and wanted to get some bits anodized to match or at least co-ordinate in some manner.

White or silver are the best choices. http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12728310 Not mine, but a nice looking bike.

I like it, apart from the red cables. Wouldn’t do it myself, but white, gold and red looks awesome.

Hope will custom ano their levers and the brakes themselves. Look at my post history and have a look at my Helius AFR. It’s raw with red ano and black kit and it has custom black ano Hope brakes on it.

Candy Apple Red – Tis truly the most wonderous colour.

That Intense Bike (see photo above) is quite possibly Candy Apple Red -difficult to say from just a photo.

Green frames work well with red bits imo. I need to update the photo, as I have since swapped the saddle for a black one (with red charge logo) and the crank arms are darker LX ones now too now (swapped from another bike). The red chainring bolts are quite subtle in this shot, and you can’t see the red SS spacer set.

Jackass – where did you get the SS chaintug from? Looks like the same style as the On One version I’m currently using in black, so would make a nice addition to my bike. Ta.
