hi can anyone help me on this topic….ive a 2006 scott genius mc 50 and im having trouble with my head set… trouble is i dont know weather its one ore the other mentioned in tittle? also i think im missing something on headset as the bottom of my head tube is touching the top of my crown head on forks? thing is im just running normal bearings in a cage on bottom of headset with the bearings sit on top of crown…now is this wrong or should it be a sealed bearing instead

No idea on that particular frame I’m afraid, but I found this very useful when I had to sort out a headset for my bike:

Can you post a pic of the headset in the frame?

    Certainly sounds like an integrated

Looks like an integrated, you’ll just need to work out the bearing face angle now 😀

Do STW rules allow pulling you up on “Intergraded” 7 posts in?

That frame has an integrated headset
You should have a sealed bearing cartridge fitted and it should be sitting on a crown race (which sits on top of your fork crown on your fork steerer.)
    AFAIK.
