Right i am fed up with my old style hope seat clamp, and it inablity to hold my seat post up.

Whats the best one around, that actually works and will be fine on my carbon frame? Have been looking at bolt up ones from salsa and the new hope one (does it actually work) but are there any others that are better?

New hope one works fine mith my alu frame / thomson seatpost combo

dunno the difference between the old and the new Hopes, have you tried some grease on the cam of the one you have? Makes a vast difference to the clamping force over having it dry.

Salsa bolt up one are superb. The only thing i think they are too strong and will crush posts if you go crazy with them. They only need a bit of torque on them ad the post never moves.

I have a new Hope QR on one bike and a Salsa Fliplok on the other. Salsa is marginally better.
