Without deviating too much from the topic but how are the people who leave there cars at either Eastbourne or Winchester getting back to them? I take it there is a train involved which would therefore enforce a deadline/

I rode to Brighton after (the undercliff cycle path is great during sunset). Had dinner then caught the train to Havant (last train 10pm, 1hr) and it’s about 35km back to Winchester on quite quiet lanes.
Anything else involves a longer journey and changes.

flippin heck, marvin! 50 mile road warm-up, SDW, bivi out, then 120(?) mile leg stretcher the next day?!
