  • RS Pop-Loc: Has anyone found a way of getting a good release return?

I have a pair of Reba Race with Pop-loc. Having locked out the fork, on release the return is either none existant or very poor at best. I've lubed the cable, de-gritted under the cap etc but the return is poor.

Has anyone found away to get a really good snap back into the unlocked position?
A stronger spring in the fork seams to be the answer – is it??

Replace the gear outer with brake outer. It's a little looser fit meaning less drag.

Press to release, pop up the front of the bike, pop lock will release.

Fit a Middleburn cable oiler in the cable and flush it regulary

    Works for me

You might be able to put an extra half turn on the spring within the MC damper – but it's a faff! (having spent a good hour last weekend putting a damper back together…)

Also check to see what sort of resistance the dial on the fork has. If you have too thick a spacer/washer under it, it struggles to return. I tried an o-ring instead of the white washer, and had the same problem of sluggish return to open.
