Read about it when I was at our local chin-stroker (The Watershed). Looks good. In the meantime, for your consideration, I highly recommend Animal Kingdom, which I was there to see.

There’s a preview screening at The Watershed in Bristol this Friday with a Q&A afterwards with the man himself. Just booked a couple of tickets. Only £7.20 a pop.

    That sounds good.

If I lived anywhere near Brizzle I’d go to that.

For anyone considering going (I think it goes on general release this Friday), I’d recommend it. It’s a very powerful portrayal of disaster capitalism on the macro level versus personal trauma (PTSD) and loss on the personal level. We had the pleasure of a Q&A session with the lead actor (Mark Womack) and the man himself Ken Loach afterwards.

I could listen to Loach all evening – he’s very engaging and obviously highly intelligent.

    Uplifting, it ain’t.
