Hearing him having his eyes gouged out on the radio when he played King Lear was one of those pieces of drama that I won’t forget.

Aye – “The Good Life” was excellent. Very acclomplished actor. As has been saud – reminds me of my younger days.

I was always jealous of him. Getting to sleep with Felicity Kendal ! Even though they were only married on a tv show, and as far as I know he never did.

He was acting and funny right up to the end. Check out the Zimmer frame chase sequence in the recent Cockneys vs Zombies movie!

Again,as stated,voice of my childhood too.

Sad news, I used to work on his trees and he was a lovely bloke, just like the Good Life character. About the only customer who sent us cards at Christmas.

How weird is that? Last night I dreamed I attended Felicity Kendal’s funeral which was an Indian style cremation! 😯

Really loved watching him. So good in The Good Life and Ever Decreasing Circles.

As well as the more mainstream stuff he was brilliant in If you see god, tell him. I’m saddened by his passing a really talented chap.
