    I recently damaged my rear wheel, two flat spots, one quite big.

    I fancied trying to rebuild the wheel myself using the existing spokes and hub and the obvious choice would be the same rim, is there an alternative rim I could use that would negate the need for new spokes and is a bit cheaper than £50

    Don't really want to spend a lot of money trying to rebuild it as I've already replaced the wheel and am only condering this as an exercise to attempt a DIY wheel build/back up wheel

    Mavic EX729 has the same ERD, pretty strong too.
