Getting a little tired and confused,
Trustfire/ultrafire, protected are longer? but safer?

Going to go in a Turboferret 4 cell holder. Going to need 2 sets of 4.

I can't say there the best, but there are definitely reliable, I have four that I rotate between two torches. Have 5 mates who also have them too, been running them since late last year without issue. They were what was recommended by eveyone on this site last year too..

There are 3000mAh on available but at almost double the price of these.. but I'd just buy more of these as overall they'd last longer than the 500mAh you gain.
Though protected are the way to go IIRC.
Better more intelligent charger are availabel too, but this one does the job and is inexpensive.

2nd what z1ppy said, not had any problems with any of the protected Trustfires I've bought, and they're similar if not identical to what has been linked to.

50p plug from your hardware store to replace the 2 pin version the charger comes with is what I do too.

They are said to be more accurately rated, mine work well anyway.

I did some hunting around, and found the most respected charger was the Pila IBC charger.

i went for 4xultrafire 3000 mAh which i bought from ebay (hongkong) with an ultrfire charger. approx £26 i think all in. can give the link if your interested.

The really high capacity Ultrafires are supposedly not as good in torches, they have a lower maximum output/higher internal resistance, or so I'm told. The 2500mah ones work a charm at a sensible price, I use the Trustfire blue ones but I wouldn't like to say they're best.
