    I need a 34t, 104BCD, unramped (SS) chainring. For a 9speed set-up.

There’s too many chainrings to choose from and my tired old brain can’t cope.

Needs to be as cheap as.

on one – £15. Very nicely made, if a little heavy (durable!)

Goldtec DH rings are excellent quality and also quite cheap (£19.99)

I’d recommend pretty much any narrow/wide, but not sure you can get them in 9speed. Can thoroughly recommend Works Components if you do go that route though.

Before narrow/wide I used to use FSA single dh rings. Don’t have to use them for dh, they just were sturdy but not heavy and kept chains on a bit better. Though still needed a guide for 1x use. Narrow/wide doesn’t need a guide (clutch mech recommended though).

If you’re running pure single speed, I’m not sure if narrow/wide is any good. Never done SS so not sure.

Thick thin work with 9 speed, but weirdly work best with a 10 speed not 9 speed chain.
