Have any of you ever been approached out of the blue by the Czech Science Foundation to provide a foreign review of a grant application project?

One just came through my academic e-mail address today, and I was a bit suprised and suspicious. They are offering 100 euros to write a review of a proposal in my field by 20 November, which I would be happy to do if I could be assured it was legitimate. The problem is, I don’t read Czech, and have way of verifying that this is a real request.

FWIW, when in the field, my boss got hired one week to go to on of the emerging european eastern courty and give a whole lecture about the methods.
I don’t see why it shouldn’t be legitimate

You need to refer it to your organisations information governance dept. Don’t mess with it; people have been severely disciplined for that kind of thing in the past.

It might be fine and legit, but you could get yourself into trouble.
