That’s brilliant, andy. Also, I really like the Scotland/Bahamas one, jad – beautiful in its simplicity.

Jad – they’re beautiful! polarisandy – lovely stuff there too. Here’s another one of Kasper, taken on the moors today. 35mm lens, wide open at f2.

Nothing too special and didn’t exactly require much input from me other than a bit of curves tweakage but I like this one my gopro took earlier.

If you do, please let me know! I’m spending a lot of time out there in the coming months/years, and know the place well at the moment! More than happy to share tips and/or a beer if you’re there!

Those pics were up by the Botanical Gardens, under the junction of Garden and Kennedy. Amazing feeling of jungle meeting urban jungle.

Couple from the trip to the USA that I’m currently on. Really enjoying the new camera too, easy to use but with all the controls you need to take things a bit further (which I haven’t yet).

Did my first uplift holiday in the Fujimi Panarama MTB Park in Japan a few weeks ago….

This is the view from the top (iPhone pic) and this is the pic of our group of middle aged warriors….

Its good to get back to japan, the food, people in fact everything was great, also good to stay in a traditional guest house..

My stab at videoing one of the downhill routes here:

CaptainF, thought it was near the Botanical Gardens, cant say I spend much time on the island as I stay out on Lantau or Kowloon most of the time.

This one was trying out the panoramic mode on my iphone, these are the two bridges connecting Lantau Island and the New territories to Tsing Yi (Tsing Ma and Tin Kua Bridges) , if you travel to HK and go by bus into town you will cross the bridge on the left.

Hi Zokes, I’m told they are SEAC colours (south east Asia command) but I’m ignorant beyond that. Took me by surprise as wasn’t what I was expecting.

Matt, those BBMF pics are superb! The Hurri is a IIc, currently in the colours of the SEAC, and fitted with repro 20mm cannon. She was apparently the last Hurri ever built.
The Spit’s a Mk LE XVIE, and served time at an Empire Training School at RAF Hullavington, which is only a few miles from me, I didn’t even know there had been an air training school there, I knew it as a parachute packing establishment.
I love those clipped wing, bubble-canopy Spits, beautiful planes.

Hi Zokes, I’m told they are SEAC colours (south east Asia command) but I’m ignorant beyond that. Took me by surprise as wasn’t what I was expecting.

That would make sense, I think the Mk IIC (with the canon) wasn’t deployed much in the European theatre, but was used in Asia and Africa, as development efforts to allow the Hurri to keep pace with the Messerschmidts and Fokke-Wolfs went to the Spit. I think it was mainly ground attack with the 20 mm canon, though the mad Mk IID I think had two 40 mm canon with about 30 rounds.
