Will I notice an upgrade from 6GB to 8GB (£56) or am I wasting my cash?

No you won’t and you are getting ripped off big time. £56 for 2GB!!

2 x 2GB of ram but I’d have to remove 2gb (2x1GB) to fit it in.

Running Vista 64 bit

upgrade to W7 or 8 would probably be as effective

If you go to the crucial web site you can download a prog that will tell you the optimum ram config for your machine

£56 for 2GB – is it an Apple? that’s outrageous! I got 4GB DDR3 Ram for my Laptop for £26 not long ago!

Think I’ll spend the money on a new tyre for the bike instead,

8Gb for my MBP was only £35 from Crucial!

Ram has jumped up in price then!

DDR2 is still expensive. DDR3 is way cheaper
