anybody got any decent pics of the paint finish on this? how does it compare to the neon orange? guessing its a similar orange in the flesh to cotic soul orange?
any pics appreciated trying to get some inspiration for a build!

given its a orange orange, you dont see many of the mandarin ones about

I have one in Mandarin - much nicer in the flesh than the neon (in my opinion of course). Neon was too bright for me, excuse the child labour:

I have seen both side by side and I thought the neon orange was a bit tacky where as the mandarine orange was quite classy.
cheers so far - its looks subtle, not to in your face.....
composite - yep thats exactly my thinking, not so much tacky but its definitely kinda just a fashionable type paint - not sure it will look so 'cool' in 2-3 years time...
guessing the classic mandarin is the way to go, never seen one in the flesh though, only really see pictures of older ones, nobody seems to buy the new ones in the classic orange colour
I think mine is Mandarin Orange, although can't be sure as I bought the frame second hand.

The neon will be muuuuch brighter but well worth it if it's your kind of thing.

No more pics here (at work) I'm afraid, I'm so gnarr that attempts to photo me tend to result in an empty or very blurred frame. I can take some when I get home, although it'll be dark so no natural light.
Have you got a dealer nearby? Better to see it in the flesh if you can.

I think it must be Mandarin, as it was painted by Orange and it's not Neon 🙂 Could just be that I'm crap at taking pictures. Try these ones.

iainc's pics look very similar to the few I have of mine so yep same colour. I think it was the original orange before it got popular and was renamed mandarin, I just checked the orange site and see they charge for that colour now! It was the stock colour when I bought mine in 2009 I think.
Mandarin's the correct colour for an Orange, you know this in your heart. Or pink, or neon yellow.
tonyd - that makes sense, deffo the only colour for an 'Orange' 😀

Brycey, that looks a LOT nicer than it sounds. I'm going through the colour choice dilemma myself and never in a million years would I have thought of neon rims with a silver frame, but it works 🙂
Been really impressed with the silver actually. Thought it was a gimmick initially, but looks great and holding up well.

tbh the paint job on mine is rubbish, the welds are grinning through, they must've been running out of paint when they did mine...

Crashtest - have you ever had your 55s serviced or changed the oil and, if so, who by and did it make a difference? I've got exactly the same forks - just wondering about getting them looked at (or possibly even doing it myself if it's not difficult). Ta.
