My son wore Mizuno Timarus last season, still great boots but have changed a bit.

Love those Slazenger Alan Knott gloves, but personally I had a pair of Kookaburra Silver (the all black ones like Jack Russell). No rounded cuffs or fancy shit, just a pair of old, classic gloves for a proper gloveman.

I lost them after playing in a rep game. I made 99 and then got run out with a bowler deflection onto the stumps where I was backing up. Got really pissed and left them at the ground and never saw them again :sadface:

For football. I had a pair of Hi-Tec boots with the big white tongues like big Nev

but for gloves I was a Reusch man. Had a pair like Schmeichel’s but with blue finger backs. And I had long shorts, bought from a sports shop in Bruges on holiday when everyone else was still in hot pants. I was the bollocks, I’ll tell you.

Think he once went up to stay at there place in Newtonmore which had an en-suite nuclear bunker apparently!

I played for the same pre county home club as Jack Russell (Stroud CC) till I was 15 as WK. He used to coach me a bit, I liked the way he repaired his own gloves. That reminds me, he put on a match for the new pavilion named after his brother who passed away. As club lads we were allowed in the changing room, Bob Taylor talked to me for ages while Courtney Walsh and Malcom Marshal strode about without a stitch on!

I had an adidas shell suit . It had a big purple flash across the front and stripes over the shoulders. I though it was shit hot. Which was somewhat ironic given their fire hazard status.
