My crank makes a loud and annoying click on every revolution if I’m pushing hard up a climb. Well the noise comes from that area anyway.

    Are my bearings buggered?

    Any advice/ideas appreciated.

    Could be:

    Cleats/pedals
    BB
    Chainring bolts
    Chain
    Seatpost
    Suss bearings
    Any/everything else

    Good luck and godspeed!

    Thanks Tom,

I just had it serviced and was told chain was ok, and hopefully they torqued the bolts….

I guess its time for eliminating one thing at a time. I’ll try peddling it up a decent hill without cleats and see if its still noisy. May even give me an excuse for a new seatpost as well 🙂

I spend ages last month trying to get rid of creaks and clicks in my BB/cranks/pedals.

Turns out it was my wheels.

    What are you peddling?

    Most common:

loose/dry bb in shell (for ST/isis/octalink).
    loose/dry pedal threads in cranks.
    loose/dry threads in chainring bolts.

Pedal bearing play is another common one.
