Hi guys and gals organising an event in memory of Jenn, a bike packing event around the South Lakes
100 miles mostly off road taking in some great trails and pubs cafes on route!
    http://www.gpsies.com/map.do?fileId=ohqofiyeadhkfvtg
This is a bike packing event so normal rules apply this is not a RACE!
Spaces will be limited due to the nature of the trails so looking at around 60
Book a spot on the Just giving page and leave your name with donation of your choice!

For those on Facebook keep up with the latest info

Hopefully will have a webpage sorted soon!

    absolutely no gear sharing

unsupported i can understand but lending a fellow rider a tube or an allen key to keep going seems to be going a bit far

I think the gear sharing malarky is more about sharing tents camping stoves 🙂

    26 signed up 🙂 and £300 raised
this is a classic Lakes route with no hike bike and plenty of single track stacks of quality pubs and cafes for those with a laid back approach. Its a very doable route in one go if your that way inclined all on one map 🙂

Donated on the JustGiving page so hopefully I have made the list. Never bikepacked, never done 100 miles in a weekend, 13 year old bike, fitness destroyed by mince pies and stollen – what could possibly go wrong? 🙂

Just got a message about this, it sounds great, and for a very good cause.

Quickly donated, think I was about 58th to donate forgot to leave details in me haste! Have emailed you.

    cheers

No as people have donated but are not riding! Have sorted some more parking so we are increasing to 80
65 are on the start so far 🙂

    £1300 raised so far

Trekster no set kit list depends on your comfort level.Low level route but its the Lakes so you could have 4 seasons in one day even in May.

We are now at 80 riders and have raised over £1500 pounds for Macmillian so well done all including the people who just donated for the hell of it 🙂
Have decided to open up for on the day entries donation of your choice to Kendal Mountain Rescue so if you fancy it and one of your pals is doing it car share if possible, there is parking but it gets busy at the weekends.
Just a note this is not a race and just a bit of fun with like minded individuals 🙂

See you all in May when hopefully the trails have dried out a bit
