Gave it 10 minutes, no music just inane ‘banter’. Not much of an improvement from R1 days. Saying that, not much choice at that time in the morning, Evans and that guy on Absolute make me want to rip the radio out, Keavney at least plays some music.
Morning radio – wall to wall arseholes.
John Humphreys is arrogant and Justin Webb is a wet hen.
Chris Evans has reached that annoying point on his latest cycle of self delusion.
Farming Today whilst I’m getting ready for work.
It’s ace.
On a related note, a lady at work recently explained to all, quite loudly, that she was “the tea bagging queen”, thinking she’d encapsulated her reputation for pinching teabags from colleagues.
I thought/hoped he’d become a monk who’d taken a vow of silence. Even though I’m not listening to the former XFM as I live overseas the mere idea that he’s back on the radio annoys me.
I stopped listening to radio 1 years ago because I couldnt stand Moyles. About 12 months ago i found XFM and loved it. Now that gobshite has spoiled that as well… 🙁
I regularly listen to xfm, but I’m on holiday at the moment.
I’m dreading going back to work, because I really don’t want to listen to that annoying gobshite, and the alternatives are worse.
Who the hell did the market research?
Xfm, the Indy/rock station, so they have Chris Moyle’s, Johny Vaughn and Vernon **** Kay….wtf.
Disappointed to see Eddy Temple Morris go as many a Friday I’ve spent fettling bikes listening to his remix show…on the plus side Ive found he is still doing the show but on Soho Radio 😀
There is also Absolute 60s, Absolute 70s, Absolute 80s, Absolute 90s.
Pick your era.
Just avoid Saturday mornings when Frank Skinner and his cronies are on.
Went off XFM about a year ago, but listen to it occasionally. The TV advert Moyles does for X confirms that he hasn’t changed – walking down a street pretending to be Richard Ashcroft.
Found XFM a few years ago and it was constantly on in the car. OK so the play list got a little repetitive sometimes but it was mostly good. DJ’s were pretty good too, some with a good knowledge of Indy / rock music.
Chris Moyles, Vernon Kay and Johnny Vaughn. What the **** have I done to deserve this??? Three of the biggest oxygen thieves ever to disgrace the face of the earth. Needless to say, I don’t listen to Radio X.
There is also Absolute 60s, Absolute 70s, Absolute 80s, Absolute 90s.
They should have a jingle on Absolute 70s that goes ..’ you’re never more than 30 minutes away from Blondie”
They bleat on how you won’t hear the same song twice in a day but that doesn’t stop them playing exactly the same songs every day. There was more to the 70s than Abba and **** Blondie. ****.
