Le Tour 2014
Doing some bigish hills fairly early on in Alsace
Grenoble-Risoul will be. Most direct is over the Lauteret but there would be more creative ways.
Chamrousse is ski station so that will be a mountain top finish.
Pyrenees looks like it might take in Peyresourde as well as HautacamPosted 4 years ago

The confirmation that riders will have tackle 15.4km of cobbles surprised everyone at the presentation, especially the overall contenders who will have to fight for survival on the cobbles of northern France. 2013 winner Chris Froome and Alberto Contador were sat side by side and neither seemed happy to see the return of the cobbles.stevomcdSubscriber
Risoul and Saint Lary are mountain top finishes too (both ski resorts – Sainte Lary Pla d’Adet is over 1600m and Risoul could be anywhere from 1100m to over 1800m depending on which “village” is the finish line).
Nothing local AGAIN though. What’s the point of living on the road to 3 TdF cols/mountain finishes if it never comes past your house? 👿Posted 4 years ago

See comments bit in this YORKSHIRE newspaper: http://www.hebdenbridgetimes.co.uk/news/local/updated-2014-tour-de-france-route-unveiled-1-6173750?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed
