Planing on a reflective solo ride on Sunday and wanted something a little off the beaten track. Anyone go any experience of this area, the fells above Crookdale, Borrowdale and Bannisdale??. Nothing showing on the maps but was wondering if there is anything on the ground ?

The Breast high road over to Breatherdale farm is ok,I like the valley Bridleway through Mosedale to Tebay best it links up the old miletary road back over Shap fell nicley,(from the Shap wells Hotel access road)avoid the Bridleway West of Shap summitt its a bog fest! but the one east of the summitt on the Kendal side is another nice grassy descent into Bretherdale again.have a good one lowey 😉
