    Where is the zig-zag single track with a few pics of it? I’m guessing off Thornthwaite Beacon down into Troutbeck, but I remember it being grass.
    Edit – Off route on Nan Bield – explains the confusion.

    I take it you came down Nan Bield good call off High St think I saw your bikes on top of a car outside Wheelbase good effort what was your total mileage?

    yep Nan Bield & yes tricky on a fully loaded rigid.
    Tricky at any time I reckon.

    decided we couldn’t be arsed going down & then back up Garburn Pass, time ticking & all that.

    We were in a black 110 Posterich.

    total kilometerage 207km, 5700m
