Clearly, you suggest Staveley for Wilf’s Cafe, the artisan bakery and Hawkshead Brewery.
Then you pop into the bike shop anyway cos hey, you’re there and you might as well. 😉

Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal is nice as well, lots going on there. Exhibitions, films, theatre and the food is great.

When I was there with the Mrs and the dog last time, we did a few low level day walks (we did bigger walks the time before).

Did a nice one to see the Ospreys, had the dog with us. Lots of tea/cake shops, and also found Keswick to be very dog friendly (in fact most places)

Haven’t done that together since we had kids though!

Grasmere village was lovely today. Though I’ve just tried the “famous” gingerbread that I bought and I can see why that recipe isn’t used anywhere else. Regretting buying 2 packets now.
