went down to Kirrie yesterday for the first time in about 6 months…. I would advise against anyone who has a fair bit to travel to head to that Stane… the reason being that there are windblown trees all over the place… I did more climbing over and walking around windblown than what I did biking…. in the end I cut back half way through the “white witch” section, and headed back to the car park via the Green route…

On a more positive note: I did have a wee sneaky look see at the new Bruntis Loch section that is being constructed , it has banked berms, kickers, and all things bike parky……LOL…. be good once it’s completed and all the fallen trees have been cleared from that section as well…

There was a message (and wee vid) on 7Stanes FB page on Friday advising all trails at Kirro were closed for time being – something like 150 trees down.

Reports of over 150 trees down!!!!

Good to see your still pedalling DavyG. Had a pedal with Stompy a few weeks ago down in Keswick. Will make an effort to get over your way this year, poor year of riding last year for a number of reasons…

Theres a fair bit of disruption at Mabie and Ae due to Larch disease clearance. Burn Splash, Scorpion are out of bounds and will need some remedial action once felling is complete. Blue route is also affected, forest road is a right auld mess!!!!! Definitely not worth bypassing any barriers
