I have one of the basic kindles and am trying to copy a load of books over from my PC. It got halfway through copying and then said it had run our of space. There are only about 40 books on there but there is a folder called .trashes that has a sub folder with around 1.3GB of photos. I assume these are images that are from one of the books but don’t know which. Can I just delete?? Am I on the right track?

I thought I should be able to get a lot more stuff on than that

    Cheers

Can’t help with your problem but can say mine has 169 books on it and memory is only about 25% used up

I would imagine if you delete the pictures(assuming they are .jpg or some other graphics format) the book will load ok but won’t display the pictures, bit like a web page when the photo link is broken. Try it, worst case you’ll have to reload the books, you aren’t going to break anything.
