  • Is it possible to run a UST Tyre with tubes on a standard Rim?

Since On-One have run out of adequately sized Racing Ralphs, I have resorted to scouring the classifieds for a decent set of tyres. In this I have come across a UST RR, as these are designed to run in tubeless systems, would it still be possible to just shove a tube in there and run it on a ‘standard’ rim or is there something I am missing?

the ust ones will be a little bit heavier as they have stronger sidewalls

nothing to stop you using them with tubes on normal rims tho.

Ahh, many thanks just wanted to be sure that the tyre would’nt just blow off the rim randomly.

As above, only thing to add is that sometimes things can get very tight when getting them on. It’s more likely to be a problem when using larger inner tubes with dual ply tyres, which you’re not, but still sometimes they can be harder to get on than a johnny when you’re pished.

If it matters they are 200g+ heavier per tyre, you’re not talking a few grammes.
