I see people riding like you on my commute home every night usually slow unfit riders desperate to make up time any way they can. They always jump to the front of the queue at lights and set off very, very slowly.

No not at all, was wondering as it looks like a main-ish road with a somewhat concealed entrance.

If there is nothing behind when approaching that sort of situation I always pull further into the centre of the road to give the car a better chance of seeing me. If there is a car/van/wagon behind me they useually see that and don’t pull out.
I know the driver should be more observant but its our lives.
