Ms Spanner is a teacher, so has a few days spare this week (arf term innit?)
Would like to go away for a couple of days of UK riding, taking in natural stuff and hopefully a new trail centre.

We do lots of rides in the Dales, North Wales (have just been told that much of it is still out of bounds due to the weather), went to Northumberland for our summer riding hols and I live in Calderdale so that’s not really on the cards. Ms Spanner would prefer somewhere ice free, as she gets a winky bum if it gets too sketchy.

What would people recommend for a couple of days away, easy reach of Manchester/West Yorks area?

Thinking maybe the Lakes and try Grizedale, or pop down to the Midlands and try something down there? Would be happy to drive up to the borders if conditions are suitable. South Downs possibly a bit too far away.
