What you didn’t notice of course were the salesmen talking amongst themselves about how great the wheels on the car they’d just had brought in for valuation and how they’d be having them straight off as soon as it was brought in for sale.

Just basic steel wheels for a Mondeo, I’m afraid, but the tyres, all 4, were new in January.

Bad form, dealers and salesmen are on a knife edge already as it is, financially. If someone notices and remembers you can be sure it will be reflected in servicing charges/warranty goodwill on the new motor later on.

If it’s valued based on your wheels too then yep.

So ppl complain of dodgy sales ppl only to have dodgy customers.

Don’t forget to whip out the tax disc as you step out of the car as well, I always do this and when questioned I point out the price is for the car.
They will only whip it out for a refund anyhow.

Did they give you a copy of written evaluation check list of the car? if the sheet has the std. ticks and mileage recorded-does it state alloy wheels?
