Took apart my "sealed" shimano 475 rear hub as it was grumbling. Both cones and cups marked/pitted (cones more than cups) and ball bearings aren't shiny once cleaned.

So should I:

a) Put it all back together, pretend I haven't seen it and ride it till it falls apart

b) new cones and bearings – or would this just be a waste

If I had taken it apart I would be tempted to stick some new bits in it as they are pretty cheap.
