Has anyone been able to get over this scenario?
I have changed my password on Hotmail and I am sure that I am now putting in the new one but I am unable to log in.
I have tried to verify myself to get the pssword changed through change password but the information does not match my account. To make things worse, there is an alternative email option but the account is so old that I have an old email addy.
I am reluctant to get a new email address because I use it as an account on a load of web sites – Bit of a nightmare!!
Any ideas?

Had something similar myself a year or so ago. Couldn’t find a way round it, and Hotmail were worse than useless in their help. All they could say to me was “give the answer to your security question”. Unfortunately they wouldn’t tell me what the question was – I was supposed to remember it from when I opened the account. They finished up telling me to report to “your local law enforcement officials” before they would help. I gave up and went elsewhere.

Sorry if it’s not what you want to hear, but it was a right pain.
