Every time I go out I get at least one puncture on my (new) 2.3 high roller. They are from thorns rather than being pinch flats.

Is this to be expected or have I got a duffun?

Mine are the single-ply 60a kevlar type if that makes any difference.

The Minion i've got on the front doesn't ever get punctured, and my conti gravitys were okay too.

The carcase thickness down the centre shouldnt change much though. I always run single ply 60a swampthings- never had a puncture (touch wood).

I think yours must be a dodgy batch?

    That's what i was wondering…
I might just stick a minion on the back as well and have done with it!

Sounds wierd. I had the same problem with Rampage SCs but I have never had any difficulties with High Rollers.

I had quite a few puncture with HRs, but only once they had worn down a bit. Mostly pinches though.

I find the exact opposite, although it's usually pinch flats I get. Triple check that you haven't got anything stuck in the tyre and the rim type etc is alright. You might just be unlucky and finding lots of thorns.
