My Hope headset just arrived for my bike build.

I’m intending to fit it to my Scott Scale RC frame and DT Swiss XRC fork.

The headtube measures 44mm dia. and the headset cups are 46mm dia. I can see no way this is going to press in without wrecking the frame.

Is it a non standard head tube?
What should I be using instead?

I’ve just checked the Scott website and the Scale RC appears to have a semi-integrated headset. Have you bought the right type? A standard headset won’t fit….

Scott website says it uses a:-

Ritchey WCS
Carbon 1 1/8“
semi integrated
44/50mm

I spoke to Hope (the guy on their videos) and he said I needed to order a Hope Intergral (not integrated) headset, which I’ve done.

Now to hunt down a headset press.
